My trip to Bangalore was truly wonderful! It had been a long-awaited opportunity to visit my uncle and aunt. Our journey commenced when we boarded the Garib Rath Express train in the evening from Tiruvalla. I traveled with my parents, sister, and maternal grandmother, while my paternal grandmother prepared some chapatis for us, which we enjoyed on the train before settling in for the night.

By 9:30 AM, we arrived at Bangalore railway station, where my uncle was waiting to pick us up. Once we reached their home, we had breakfast and engaged in lively conversation. My aunt’s parents had arrived a week earlier to stay with them, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The weather in Bangalore was noticeably cooler than in Texas, prompting us to go shopping for a jacket. I was the only one who ended up purchasing one, and we also bought some clothes for the children downstairs, who are friends of my uncle and aunt.

After lunch, we relaxed by watching television and took a brief nap. Later, we prepared to visit the children’s house. They were 3 and 1 years old, and we had an absolute blast playing with them; the 3-year-old boy even had a toy gun!

Upon returning to the flat, we had dinner and then went for a walk. My sister and I played in a park, even enjoying a game of basketball. The following morning was relatively quiet, but by the afternoon, we had planned to visit my 1-year-old cousin. Unfortunately, she was unwell, so we didn’t get to spend much time with her. On our way, we took a taxi, but my sister accidentally dropped her umbrella when she removed her Crocs, and we forgot it when we exited the vehicle.

After the visit, we explored Commercial Street and MG Road, where we indulged in some street shopping. Later, we dined at a renowned restaurant owned by the famous Indian chef, Chef Pillai. The next morning, we visited a well-known Shiv temple nearby and observed many cows roaming freely. Following that, my uncle and aunt’s mother took us to a mall to purchase some clothes.

By evening, we boarded the train to return to Kerala. It was a memorable experience, and we eagerly anticipate our visit next year!
